The mission of the Command Religious Program is to meet the spiritual, family and moral needs of all Sailors, Marines, and civilian personnel at NAS Kingsville. Religious services are conducted every Sunday at McFall Memorial Chapel, a beautiful and historic building erected in 1942. The church was named after Chaplain William McFall, one of the first Station chaplains, who died in action on Dec. 12, 1943, while serving in Southwest Pacific. Currently, the Chapel is undergoing a major upgrade and all services are being held in the Chapel’s multi-purpose room in Bldg. 2741.
Protestant services are held beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, while Catholic Services begin at 12:30 p.m.
Once the Chapel re-opens, it will be available for weddings, funerals and other appropriate events. Use of the chapel must be approved by the Chaplain staff at least three months prior to the event. The Chaplain’s office also provides confidential counseling. The Chaplain’s office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
There are two financial institutions on board the Air Station. Wells Fargo bank has a branch office located in the Navy Exchange complex. The facility is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Air Station is also home to a full-service Navy Federal Credit Union Branch Office, located across from the NAS Kingsville headquarters building. The branch is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and has ATM facilities.

Educational excellence is the primary objective for Kingsville Independent School District. The school district is divided into three clusters at the primary level (PK-1) and two zones at the elementary level (2-4). Secondary campuses consist of one intermediate school (5-6), one middle school (7-8) and one high school.
In 1994, several school districts joined together in a bold new concept for high school education. Serving in partnership with Texas A&M University at Kingsville, they established Academy High for students in grades 9-12 from several South Texas communities. This school offers a year-round, self-paced curriculum... a non-traditional approach that offers students a program tailored to meet individual skills.
Four private schools are available in the area: Epiphany Episcopal School which serves Pre-K to 5th grade (361) 592-2871; First United Methodist School which served Pre-K to 1st grade (361) 592-4653; St. Gertrude Catholic School which serves K to 5th grade (361) 592-6522; and Presbyterian Pan American which serves 9th to12th grade (361) 592-4307.
